Belated happy birthday to Martin. An impressive list here of songs he produced - know the 80s ones very well.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Alyson. Yes, there's a very distinctive feel to Martyn's productions - clean without being anodyne.
DeleteThe Men were The Human League, trying to prove that they could write a poppy hit single, by contrast with the more challenging material that they were releasing at the time. It wasn't a hit (although it should have been) and although they Martyn, Phil Oakley et al managed to achieve great success, it was only after they split!
