It was still light at 4.35 this morning and hotter indoors than out. I'm working from home today and already longing for bed and a decent night's sleep.
- And I hope you've been able to stay cool enough today, Khayem. I've been working from home for many years, but right now I envy all those in offices with aircon. Might have to become nocturnal.
Thanks, C, it was pretty darned uncomfortable until the weather broke in the evening and then it was a glorious to be out in the summer rain.
If it's any consolation, I had a brief experience of working in an aircon office a few years ago and there was a constant "white noise" of complaints all day long from people who were either too hot or too cold or adjusting and re-adjusting the controls. There were also frequent visits from an engineer because the aircon would break down as a consequence of the constant fiddling, to the extent that the controls were boxed in and could only be accessed by a manager. I don't miss aircon offices at all...
Thanks for your visit and comments! That's a mighty fine Top 3. I can't believe that I haven't yet featured a PSB selection - both they and The Radio Dept. will appear here at some point.
Or what passes for normal these days, Rol! Unfortunately, our cat didn't get the memo and has woken us up before 4am the last two mornings. Roll on the weekend...!
Saint Etienne should be on prescription!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more, C. And the wonderful thing is, a regular dose of Saint Etienne has no negative side effects or contraindications :-)
