  1. Always loved that Bryan Ferry cover.

No time to stop, off to harvest the spaghetti trees.

    1. Ernie, I hope you remembered to bring along some skyhooks to hang the spaghetti out to dry...

  2. Had to double-check you hadn't included a Billy Ray Cyrus song specially for the day...

  3. Nicely done! I like Billie Ray Martin. Can't say the same about the Cyruses (father or daughter).

Yesterday I made my first mashup. Only two decades late for the trend! Was trying to think of people who might appreciate the (minimal) effort, and your name came to mind as a potential victim.

    1. I agree wholeheartedly with your opening comment, jonder!

And thanks so much for sharing your first mash...it's never too late, as far as I'm concerned!

In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I thought it deserved better than being tucked away in the comments section, and I've dedicated today's post to Hella Green. Great work!

  4. Great mix. My favourites: Ferry, Lymon, Prine and Martin (funny that I've never heard of Billie Ray Martin, even though I live in Germany). Incidentally, I would have chosen “Why Do Fools Fall In Love” a an appetizer (according to the motto: let's get straight to the point). And “Caravan of Fools” for dessert.
    Thanks [sk]

    1. Thanks [sk], and excellent choices for the full menu.

If you liked the Billie Ray Martin song, I would heartily recommend checking out her Bandcamp page for an insight into her long and varied career. I've been a fan since her days with Electribe 101, but she really came into her own with her solo career in the early 1990s.

Anyone who can cover Throbbing Gristle, duet with Ann Peebles and get down in the disco with Deep Dish is alright in my book!
