Dubcamp Friday

Reggae and dub are frequently reserved for relaxed Sunday sessions in these parts but as it's Bandcamp Friday today, I wanted to highlight a selection of top tunes, albums and compilations available as name your price / free downloads.

Today's 10-track selection kicks off with Marshall Neeko, whose dizzying rate of productivity sees a new collection of versions pretty much every week. I have a fair few and I can't keep up, but the quality levels are consistently and incredibly high.

A couple of labels feature prominently here, and on my shopping list: Dubphonic Records, coming straight out of Cyprus, and Culture Dub Records based in Poitiers, France.

There's a healthy selection of Jamaican artists here too, as might be expected, as well as acts from Barcelona, London, Kremenki (Russia), Athens, Gdynia (Poland), Paris and well, I'll leave you to guess where The Dubwegians hail from.

All worth some of your time and money, methinks.
