It's got to be World Of Twist with The Storm, hasn't it?
Storm Darragh's kept Casa K up for most of the night and I'm going to working (from home) this morning, putting our business continuity plan into action. In practice, that will mean lots of calls using Microsoft Teams, which isn't reliable at the best of times.
Hopefully, a few hours and it will be time to log off, batten down the hatches (again) and prepare for the power cuts. Fortunately, we get quite a few of these anyway, so we're generally prepared.
I've noted that World Of Twist have barely featured on this blog, something I redress here by sharing one of their finest moments. The recording of the video is a bit shonky but worth sticking with, if only to realise that most of the budget was blown on tin foil.
If that's not enough, then feast your eyes on World Of Twist's debut on Channel 4 music show The Word in November 1990. Tony Ogden (RIP) and MC Shells really were a great combo and it's criminal that they weren't the huge crossover success that they deserved to be.
Also a reminder that, though the presenters - and the guests - on The Word were frequently annoying, it was hard to fault the range and quality of the live music.
Stay safe out there!
