Can I Get A Hallelujah?

I only really properly listened to IDLES during the first lockdown and mainly because I'd started regularly visiting the KEXP site for their live in the studio performances as way of sampling new music. I should have switched on to IDLES sooner, but better late than never. The KEXP performances are great, particularly the 2019 live set from the KEXP gathering space, and I hope that I'll get to see them live in concert at some point in the future, when the world feels a little less crazy. In the meantime, if you're looking for a last minute Christmas stocking filler for a loved one, visit the IDLES website or Bandcamp page for the perfect gift.

    1. Thanks for the info, Mike - every day is an education! I haven't been to Bristol for a pint in about 4 years, even longer for The Grain Barge - I went a couple of times when it first opened. Glad to know it's still going strong...and a source of inspiration.

  2. Tremendous band & not just because they come out of Bristol!) Not seen them live either but according to a couple of hipper (ie younger) friends who have they are a visually splendid racket on stage!

    1. "Tremendous band & not just because they come out of Bristol!"...but it helps, right? :-) Yeah, just seeing their online performances, they're a compelling and exciting band, lots of fun with some very raw lyrical content. How can you resist?!
