Casiokids were a synthpop band from Norway, who were active from 2005 to 2015. I discovered them via the great RCRD LBL free download dump in the late 2000s, with the instrumental song Gomurmamma. In 2011, Casiokids released their third and final album, Aabenbaringen Over Aaskammen. However, they would achieve immortality of sorts that same year (in the UK, at least) when their 2009 song Fot I Hose was used prominently as the transitional music in Channel 4 TV comedy Friday Night Dinner. The series ran for six seasons, sadly ending following the death of Paul Ritter in April 2021. It is rightly considered a modern classic and I paid a tribute of sorts to the series earlier this year.
Casiokids also created some fun videos for their songs, which you can easily find on YouTube.
My own collection of Casiokids music is admittedly sparse. Here is a short selection, pretty much gathering up everything that I have, in reverse alphabetical order by song title. Today's post title is the English translation of second album, Topp Stemning På Lokal Bar. The band website is long gone, but you can see what former Casiokid Ketil Kinden Endresen is up to here
1) Gomurmamma (2009)
2) Fot I Hose [Foot In Hose] (Axemax & Big P Remix) (2009)
3) En Ville Hest [A Wild Horse] (Prins Thomas Remix By Thomas Hermansen) (2010)
4) Elefantenes Hemmelige Gravplass [The Elephants' Graveyard] (2011)
5) Det Haster! [It's Urgent!] (Album Version) (2011)
