This is my first exposure to Belfast-based duo Chalk aka Ross Cullen and Benedict Hardie-Goddard, and they've kindly obliged with a 'double feature' single and video, Heaven / Hell.
Heaven is bass-heavy nightclub music, a co-write with Chris W. Ryan (also Belfast-based) and featuring cosign aka Martha Greer (also Belfast-based) and Sarah Barthel from Phantogram (not Belfast-based) on vocals.
Hell (also co-written by Chris W. Ryan) is a scuzzy slab of industrial, which would not sound out of place on a Trent Reznor movie soundtrack.
The video is directed by Benedict and stars model Ellie Fitzsimons who, it may be no surprise to read, is also Belfast-based.
