Someone Needs A Shower

Underworld x Kettama kicked off March with Fen Violet, their second collaboration in the past six months. It's a pummeling slab of classic Underworld beats and esoteric lyrics, pierced with precision tooled piano stabs. Currently available in a four-minute full length version and two-minute fifty-two edit, this one's crying out for an eight, nine, twelve-minute and is easy to imagine tearing the place apart in a live setting.

The first fruits of Underworld aka Rick Smith and Karl Hyde and Kettama aka Evan Campbell in the studio emerged in December 2023 with G-Town Euphoria (Luna).

As the sub-title suggests, G-Town Euphoria (Luna) is a reworking of the Underworld track Denver Luna, released a couple of months previously.

Up to then, I'd never heard of Kettama, who hails from Galway and has gained a formidable reputation via Soundcloud and live DJ sets. I can hear his influence on the Underworld collaborations and there's a compelling energy to the tracks and mixes I've heard so far. Heady stuff.
